Customizing ECOA Conversions
August 29, 2001
When a user selects on the Utilities applet from the main Action Menu, they will notice a new link entitled ECOA Conversion. This link allows users to customize ECOA conversions to their own wording per bureau. This can also be done to bureau files received from Trans Chicago, both for the Applicant and Co-applicant, and works in conjunction with the Convert ECOAs service when it is enabled. To enable this new feature, users will need to select on the Utilities | ECOA Conversion link and create a new customized ECOA group by selecting on the Add New... | ECOA Group from the Action Menu. Once the user names the new ECOA Group and Saves their changes from the Action Menu link, they can select on the Details link to begin. Select on the Add New... | ECOA link when the Details page opens to begin assigning customized ECOA conversion codes. Users will need to designate the bureau, the original ECOA value from the bureau (From Value), and the To Values for both the Applicant and the Co-applicant. The To Values that the user inputs for the Applicant and Co-applicant will reflect the user's customized ECOA Conversions. Once users have any ECOA conversions customized to their liking, they need to open the product they wish these conversions to align to and in the Additional Services section of the Services page, check either the Selected or the Optional checkbox for the Convert ECOAs service. When the Select Group drop down list appears, choose the group you created and Save Changes from the Action Menu. |
